Attractions
Whitby is at the bottom of the staircase (199 steps) that leads from behind the Abbey ruins. Whitby has had a long association with Jet, Captain Cook and Dracula. For those not feeling up to the walk down and climb back up the 199 steps there is an alternative pedestrian route and a vehicle access also the City Sight-seeing tours bus passes by the rally field several times a day. Nearer to the site is a micro-brewery which serves various drinks and depending on timing they serve Pizzas.

Site directions
Follow the A171 from Scarborough towards Whitby. In the village of Hawkser (approximately 3 miles from Whitby), turn right into Hawkser Lane (sign posted Abbey and opposite Trailways Cycle Hire). Follow Hawkser Lane and around half a mile from the Abbey, follow the EYC signs.

When you are coming on a rally and are bringing more children or adults than you have booked on your rally slip, then please out of courtesy ring the rally marshal to let them know.
They may not have enough food if they are doing a social, (this nearly happened at the Chairman’s Rally), kids prizes, sweets.
No marshal likes to say NO - especially to children, so please have some consideration for them. Thank you.
