Attractions
York is a short drive away as are Monks Cross and Clifton Moor shopping centres. You can walk into the village to catch the bus or you can drive down and park the car on the road in the village. Within the village there is a community shop which is well stocked and also serves coffee. There are two pubs in the village both serving food plus a fish shop. There are good walks around the site all suitable for dog walking too.

From the East Yorkshire area follow the A1237 around York anticlockwise and turn right at the roundabout B1363 to Wiggington and Helmsley. This is Wiggington Road which becomes York Road. After approximately 2½ miles, turn left to Sutton on the Forest, in approximately 1½ miles pass the Mended Drum Pub and continue for a further mile passing the New Inn and the Cantonese restaurant. Site is on the right, take care as it is on a bend. Follow yellow EYC signs.
