What is a caravan rally?
Firstly, lets deal with what it isn’t , it isn’t a over controlling set of sandal wearing do gooders that want you to join in silly rituals that make you feel uncomfortable and wish you’d never come along in the first place.
Nor is it anything to do with motor sport with a caravan attached.
So what is a rally?
It’s a gathering of Caravan Club members who share a common interest, getting away from it all at a reasonable price, every weekend if we can. there are usually rallies on every weekend throughout the year.
They are a real opportunity to make new friends and visit new places all over the region.
- Please take a look at the pictures on the gallery page to look at images from rallies, they give a great insight into what a rally is.
Who goes on rallies?
- A complete mixture of people ranging from families with young children, families with teenagers, people without children and people whose children have grown up. Dogs and cats are also taken on rallies.
Where are rallies held?
- Rallies take place most weekends in most areas, where are rallies not held would be easier to answer.
- Our centre “East Yorkshire Centre” rally every weekend and the venues range from small farm sites, to fields with taps and an Elsan emptying point to full facility sites with heated toilet blocks and playgrounds.
Can you rally for longer than a weekend?
- Yes you can, these are generally called holiday rallies and are held a different times of the year and often in very special places like the Bassenthwaite rally in August in the lake district or the Filey beside the sea rally and many more.
